Before joining Red Sea Global, he spent around two decades at Saudi Aramco, where he worked on complex programs in communications, research, and security. He joined during the early stages of the Red Sea initiative and advanced from Chief of Staff to Chief Administrative Officer, and then to Group Chief Administrative Officer. In his role, he oversees a wide portfolio that includes corporate services, people and culture, strategy and EPMO, government and external affairs, cybersecurity, and smart-destination functions. In simple terms, he helps coordinate the enterprise systems that turn giga-project ambition into operational delivery. His work has helped strengthen governance, align teams around clear priorities, and embed a culture of accountability inside one of Saudi Arabia’s most important destination developers.

At Red Sea Global, he helped advance an integrated education framework that combines academic learning, practical training, and direct employment pathways. In 2025, more than 1,000 young Saudi men and women graduated from these programs through partnerships with HRDF and TVTC. He has also supported the creation of community infrastructure that improves quality of life. In partnership with SEK Education Group, Red Sea Global inaugurated Turtle Bay International School at The Red Sea destination, providing world-class education for the children of employees and residents. Advancing Health and Regenerative Development

Darwish’s engineering mindset is also visible in how Red Sea Global approaches services and infrastructure. In 2024, he announced Red Sea Health, a dedicated healthcare brand designed to serve The Red Sea and AMAALA. Its first milestone was an advanced clinic at Red Sea International Airport, equipped with 133 units supporting consultations, urgent care, vaccinations, and direct health services for guests, residents, and staff. Future plans include two hospitals, six pharmacies, and emergency response services.

This shows that tourism development under Vision 2030 is being built with long-term resilience in mind. Ahmad Darwish’s work helps ensure that destinations are not only attractive and innovative, but also functional, supportive, and capable of sustaining real communities. He has also helped represent Red Sea Global’s regenerative model on larger platforms, including FII, TOURISE, and the Saudi–US Investment Forum. Through these engagements, he has helped position Saudi Arabia as a country developing tourism in a way that strengthens both the environment and local communities.
